| Other Info For Track DayI found this some other place...Just want to share it! Gearhelmet gloves earplugs leathers suit back protector boots socks suit liner (under armour) Toolssockets allens ratchet front and rear stands combo wrenches tape (for headlights if needed) zipties sidecutter/dykes extra bolts, screws, washers extra parts(clipons, pegs, levers, etc) ramp FluidsOil Brake fliud water for your bike (distilled/water wetter) Miscfaceshield cleaner extra rags extra clothes BIKE KEY (bring the spare key just in case) gas can (with some gas..) ez-up/canopy chairs water/gatorade (1/2 & 1/2 mix works wonders) Food (I pack 1 loaf of bread, lunch meat, mustard, pretzels. Chips and filling!) advil (other pain reliever) cash camera extra tie downs sunscreen OptionalGenerator Tire Warmers Battery Charger (I've had a battery die at the track)
- Don’t forget the portable air tank or air compressor, tire filler, and air pressure gauge in the tools list.
- Ear plugs are essential in battling fatigue believe it or not. It actually takes a lot of energy out of you processing sound all day long. You will feel more focused on the sounds of your bike and not the bikes around you as you ride, and will have more stamina through the day.
- On a hot track day, tossing wash cloths in your ice chest works well forhelping to cool you down as well between sessions.
- Spare parts always a plus in case of a minor incident. Clutch, brake levers, rear sets, etc...
- If you're running warmers don’t forget the extension cord and multi-outlet power strip to plug them in.
- Oh, and I'll say it again, don’t forget the key to your bike!!!
- You don’t have to safety wire unless your racing. usually track days all you need to do is tape or remove lights and mirrors and replaced coolant with water. Actually that depends on the organization that is hosting the track day. The ones I've been to make you safety wire the oil filter the oil fill plug and drain bolt. the fill plug and drain bolt can also be siliconed.
- That's been my experience as well. Most organizations, you don't have to do much of anything to run beginner class. Make sure your bike is well maintained, and you have the right gear, grab some masking tape and you're good to go, as far as tech is concerned.
